Are visitors using your website the way that you think they are?

You probably designed your website assuming that visitors would use it in a particular way, but have you assessed whether that’s actually the case? We don’t have time for a deep dive into analytics, but there are a couple of tools worth knowing about.

One of them is Google Analytics 4’s exploration tool, which is a vast improvement on the tool that was in Universal Analytics, and it can be really revealing. For example, it could reveal that half your website traffic lands on a blog post you wrote years ago and forgot about it, as well as reveal that most visitors go to your team page and then leave it. It could also reveal that they get to your landing page, and then they don’t convert.

Whatever the case might be, using this information, you can move forward and take some action steps to improve things, so go and investigate the Path Exploration Tool in Google Analytics 4.

Next week we investigate this theme further and ask if you’re losing website visitors before they get to know you.
