Why is email marketing important for your business?
Put simply, it’s the best way to build and maintain a relationship with a potential customer, taking them to the point of buying, becoming a repeat customer and maybe even referring you to their contacts.
If you send 100 emails then 100 emails should be received. Whereas, with social media marketing, you are at the mercy of the algorithms but as with all relationships it needs to be managed well, so here are some quick tips:
- Be customer-centric – Make sure that the content, the length and the frequency are with the audience in mind. Not everybody wants to hear from you every week and longer isn’t necessarily better.
- Be consistent – Consistency suggests reliability and helps to build trust, so only commit to a format that you can maintain.
- Give them options – If you have a diverse range of content maybe even multiple venues, then give your audience a choice about what they receive and when.
