How much is too much when it comes to email marketing?

If you’re thinking about starting a new regular email, you’ll need to decide the frequency and length of the emails. To do that, consider what you can commit to and your audience preferences. The following questions will help guide you:

How often do your prospects and customers need your offering?
Is it regular or more of an occasional thing? If it’s not regular, then don’t start emailing daily, weekly or monthly.

How much commitment does your offering need?
If it’s significant, they may need more time to know, like, and trust you. Email marketing is a great way to build that over time.

Is your offering complex?
If so, use email to share bite-sized elements, analogies, or cartoons to convey your point.

Does your audience have much time? In email marketing, less is often more. Respect their time; that’s why this email is always under a minute!

Next week, we will look at email subjects and consider if you’re falling at the first hurdle.
