Welcome to the final step of creating a marketing plan: marketing measurements.
This step will help you assess if your plans are working! While it’s impossible to measure all marketing success, there are insights to be found in the right data – so here are some quick tips to consider:
Identify the measurements that align with your business goals – whether it’s website analytics, social media, email, SEO— you can prioritise metrics that provide insight. Engagements and conversions are far more valuable than vanity metrics, such as looking at the number of website visits in isolation, which could be misleading.
Look at your digital marketing as a whole – Channels work together, not in isolation, and many analytic tools integrate or connect to each other so you can see the hand-over.
Build a measurement system tied to your business goals and track progress consistently. Use the right data and insights to refine what’s working, boost performance, and drive greater impact.
