How does your market position impact your marketing?

Once you’ve  picked a market position, you need to make sure all of your marketing reflects that position and there are the obvious options like:

  • Website
  • Email marketing
  • Social media
  • Advertisements

But there are less obvious opportunities that still make a big impact.

Things like your:

  • Customer service
  • Packaging
  • Delivery services
  • Offices and premises
  • The way you pick up the phone or answer emails
  • Internal marketing to your employees

While you might have an outward-facing position, you need to make sure that every touch point that your customer has reflects that, otherwise it’s going to send the wrong message and jar quite badly.

So, have a look at every touch point that you’ve got and plan how to make sure it reflects your new market position.

Next week is a new month and we’ll be moving on to one of my favourite subjects, Audience.
