Are you making a good first impression?

This month, we’re looking at customer journeys starting this week with the awareness or attention stage of the AIDA Marketing Model.

This stage is when a prospect first becomes aware of you, maybe via an advert, a recommendation from a friend or in search engines.

Here are some tips for making a good first impression:

  • Know your audience: This makes it easier to tailor your approach to the preferences of your target demographic.
  • Personalisation: Customise the experience to make it more relatable and engaging for the audience.
  • Clear communication: Make it clear that you can help provide what they’re looking for as soon as possible.
  • Maximise your touchpoints: ensure you know where prospects might first encounter you and that it is a positive experience.
  • Feedback: make sure you have a mechanism in place to get feedback on the impression you’re making so that you can tweak it.

Next week, we’ll move on to the Interest stage of the AIDA marketing model, which is when you need to engage and create interest in your prospects.
