A marketing seminar offering advice to help business owners win new customers which offers insights into marketing trends for the coming year has raised £1,000 for LOROS, the Leicestershire and Rutland Hospice. In total 20 local business owners and marketing managers attended ‘Going for Growth 2013’last month (January 24th) at The Waterfront Restaurant, Union Wharf in Market Harborough.
The event was hosted by author and public speaker Alastair Campbell, MD of The Ideal Marketing Company who’s office is based beside the Harborough canal basin. The seminar offered insights into the latest marketing thinking, especially how to use low cost technology to win more customers. He was joined on the day by former Harborough Mail editor Brian Dodds who offered his perspective on gaining media coverage for businesses.
Delegate Annette Hobbs from Harborough based Shoestring commented “After leaving the seminar I felt like I could conquer the world” At the end of the event all the delegates were asked if they would recommend the event and if it should run again and 100% of them said yes to both questions.
“The feedback we received was very positive and so we’ve decided to run it again in March to hope raise another £1,000 for Loros” comments Alastair. The date for the new event is Thursday March 21st and it will again take place at the Waterfront Restaurant.
Tickets for the seminar cost £50 which runs from 10am till 4pm this price even includes lunch. 100% of the money raised is being donated to LOROS, who offer support and care for those suffering from terminal illness in the East Midlands. For more details call 01858 374 170.
