Jessica Shailes, who has worked at The Ideal Marketing Company for over five years, has now taken ownership following Helen Campbell’s decision to sell the company for personal reasons.
As our company embarks on a new chapter, the principles and values on which the company were founded will continue to define our ongoing work. For clients, this means that we will continue to offer the same level of high-quality marketing services with honesty and integrity. That’s something that will never change.
Where it all began
The Ideal Marketing Company was originally set up by Helen’s husband Alastair Campbell in 2003.
After working for several media agencies in London and as a marketing manager, Alastair decided to pursue his dream of setting up his own company. Fast growth meant that it wasn’t long until Helen was drafted in to grow the PR side of the company.
Together, the pair grew the home-based operation into a business offering specialist skills in digital marketing, PR, SEO and design. Today, The Ideal Marketing Company employs six people at its High Street offices at the Old Town Hall in Market Harborough.
A new chapter
Having led the company for 18 months after Alastair was taken seriously ill very suddenly, Helen felt now was the right time to step down, although she is still working with the company in a consultancy role.
Jess has worked at Ideal Marketing since 2013, originally heading up the digital marketing department. She was promoted to business development manager when Helen took over running the business and is now the company owner.
“When I decided to sell the business, Jess was the first person that I thought of. Having stepped up to a management role, Jess has more than proved her ability to run the company. She has over 15 years’ experience in marketing and also knows Ideal Marketing and its clients well. I’m sure that she will bring her own ideas and an exciting new direction to the business.
