The Ideal Marketing Company’s managing director, Alastair Campbell, is releasing his latest book at an open launch later this month.

scientific advertising book launchAlastair will be speaking at the official launch of Scientific Advertising, a book that will change the way you look at advertising forever, at this month’s Business Agenda on June 21st.

Scientific Advertising, Alastair’s third marketing book is a revised update of the advertising classic written by Claude C Hopkins in 1923. The principles of how to create a compelling and effective advertising message are as true today as when Hopkins expressed them almost a century ago.

It is a testament to Hopkins that many of his insights remain relevant today but despite this, digital channels seem to have now outdated the print media that once dominated when the book was originally written. Digital channels offer communication methods that even Hopkins could not have anticipated and they are channels which marketers and advertisers now use on a daily basis.

Alastair’s updates and revisions have been tailored to make the book relevant in today’s marketplace. The book lists references and examples from the digital world of television, web, social media, digital devices, and live streaming making it ideal for today’s marketer.

At the book launch, Alastair will summarise and discuss the key points from the book, answer marketing questions and sign copies of the book.

The Business Agenda will take place at the Harborough Innovation Centre on Tuesday 21st June from 5pm till 7pm.
