Derbyshire based horticultural manufacturers Amberol supply self-watering containers and litter bins to councils, Britain in Bloom groups, schools and businesses across the UK. Their focus is on sustainable and ethical products, many of which are made from recycled polyethylene.

The challenge: raising brand awareness

The Ideal Marketing Company were tasked with getting the Amberol name known within the right communities whilst on a limited advertising budget. Our key aim was to position Amberol as ethical manufacturers in an industry where this positive attribute is often overlooked.

The Ideal Marketing Company worked with Amberol to devise a PR strategy designed to highlight the company as experts within their field.

Regular research is performed and articles written for Amberol, helping to establish them as specialists by offering horticultural knowledge and gardening and recycling tips.

The Ideal Marketing Company have also worked to create strong links with key publications in the industry, and write and distribute press releases to these publications. This means that a steady stream of PR surrounding the company is featured in local authority, local and horticultural publications, discussing Amberol’s products and services, as well as any events they are involved in (for example, Britain in Bloom).

Through our work Amberol have gained coverage on television, radio, and in the national press – most recently The Sunday Post.

We also research, write and create case studies to showcase different aspects of the business to potential clients, and these are featured on the company’s website. We work closely with different agencies in the fields of design, digital and online marketing to create a joined up approach to their public presence.

We recently set up the company’s Facebook page, and use the PR content that we create, combined with new design work, to promote the company on this platform.
