Harborough networking group Working Breakfast club celebrates a successful two years
Members of a not for profit networking group in Market Harborough are celebrating the group’s second anniversary this month (February). The Working Breakfast group has met every Wednesday morning at theAngelHotelsince February 2010. During that time, members of the group have passed over 3,000 leads and generated over £280,000 worth of new business together.
The independent group was formed by local business owners as a way of generating new business leads as well as making local links and helping each other grow their companies. The group, which has around 20 regular members plus guests, uses the revenue generated to fund local projects such as the successful ‘Start-up Harborough’ event which ran last September. They have also donated funds to Harborough’s soon to be opened cinema.
Kathy Bakewell from Vanilla Recruitment, who until recently was the chair of the group and has been an active member since its inauguration comments, “Working Breakfast plays an important part in my working week. It’s a great networking opportunity – not just to develop new leads, but to find out how other local businesses are doing. It’s a reassuring support system for local companies like ours.”
Newly appointed chair Stuart Beard has been a member of Working Breakfast since 2010. “Working Breakfast is a great group for local companies or business owners like myself who are looking for new clients and advice from other company owners.”
The group meet every Wednesday morning at The Angel Hotel from 7am till 8.30am.
Working Breakfast always welcomes new members; the first visit is free and includes a cooked English breakfast. Any local companies who are interested should call 01858 374 170 or visit www.workingbreakfast.com to find out more.
