In marketing, the 4Ps: Product, Price, Place, and Promotion, are the foundation of any strategy. But let’s be honest, Promotion tends to steal the spotlight. Why? Because it’s the most visible part of your efforts. Ads, social media campaigns, and influencer partnerships often get all the attention. But focusing too much on Promotion can backfire if the other Ps aren’t solid.

Think about it: a great ad won’t save a poorly designed product, bad pricing, or lack of availability. The key is balance. Promotion should amplify the value of your product, not compensate for gaps in the rest of your strategy.

So, how do you strike that balance? Here are three action points to guide you:

  1. Ensure your product is top-notch and meets the needs of your audience.
  1. Price your product competitively to reflect its value and appeal to your market.
  1. Make your product available and in an accessible format where your audience shops, ensuring easy access.

Once these pieces are solid, let your promotional efforts showcase what makes your product stand out. Great marketing isn’t just noise, it’s a harmony of all the Ps working together.

Next week is a new month and we move on to podcasting!
